“Training Season” Resurgence

“Training Season” and the Live from the Royal Albert Hall version are having a massive viral moment.

What started as a manifestation trend on Tiktok after Dua’s comments regarding how she carefully chooses what songs to release because she believes singing them over and over again on tour helps manifest things in her life, “Training Season” and the rendition from the Royal Albert Hall have seen increased numbers across multiple different platforms, primarily Spotify and YouTube. On the music platform, the two tracks combined are receiving nearly 4 million daily streams and would place it as the 2nd most stream song on the chart.

Both versions are currently receiving over one million streams per day and are featured in the Global 200 on Spotify. The video of the Royal Albert Hall on YouTube recently crossed 100 million views. In addition, a Spotify EP, “Training Season’s Over” was released with multiple live versions of the song to help give it an extra push.

“Training Season” also has made a re-appearance on the UK singles chart at #18 with early midweek numbers putting the song back in the top 10.

Dua Lipa Announced as Curator for London Literature Festival

Dua has been announced as the curator for the 2026 London Literature Festival, which will be held at Southbank Centre. In the role, Dua will be curating a series of events during the festival’s 11-day run. Previous headliners of the event have included literary and cultural icons like Tom Hanks, Margaret Atwood, and Malala Yousafzai.

Reading has anchored me through every chapter of my life – from being the new kid at school in a new country to finding quiet refuge on tour. Curating the Southbank Centre’s London Literature Festival is a dream come true. I’m thrilled to indulge one of my greatest obsessions: books and the brilliant minds behind them. I can’t wait to dive into the imaginations of some of my favourite authors in one of London’s most iconic cultural spaces.

Mark Ball, the Southbank Centre’s artistic director, praised Dua as a “global cultural force with millions of fans around the world” and went on to say that Dua’s “passion for the written and spoken word has inspired a new generation of readers.”

A full line-up and ticket release dates are expected to be announced during the summer.

In Case You Missed It: Dua Lands Role in A24’s “Peaked”

It was recently announced that Dua was cast in one of A24’s newest films, “Peaked”, a film directed by Molly Gordon and written by Gordon and Allie Kitan (both will also star). Alongside the three are also Emma Mackey, Connor Storrie, Laura Dern, Simone Ashley, Levon Hawke, Mitra Jouhari, Gabby Windey, Amy Sedaris, Owen Thiele, Jaya Harper, Emil Wakim, and Alex Consani.

While details are being kept under wraps, including details about Dua’s role, there is a small plot summary available.

Peaked follows the two girls who traumatized you in high school as they try to relive their glory days at their 10-year reunion.

“Future Nostalgia” Turns Six Today!

Six years ago today, Dua released her second studio album, “Future Nostalgia”. Spawning six singles from the standard edition, the album went on to become an instant classic for pop music fans around the world. The album won Best Pop Vocal Album at the 2021 Grammy Awards and British Album of the Year at the 2021 Brit Awards.

As of December 2025, the album is estimated to have sold over 19 million globally (via Chartmasters). “Future Nostalgia” debuted at number 2 on the UK album charts, peaking at number 1 the following week — it would eventually reach the top of the charts three more times. In the United States, the album debuted at number 4 with 66,000 units sold. It finished the year as the ninth-best selling album of 2021 in the country, with 1,403,000 million units sold.

Across all streaming platforms, “Future Nostalgia” is the second most-streamed female album. The Moonlight Edition has surpassed 15 billion streams on Spotify, her most-streamed album on the platform and regularly generates 4 million daily streams. “Don’t Start Now” has generated over 3 billion streams, “Levitating (feat. DaBaby)” is over 2.5 billion streams (with the solo version over 1 billion itself), and both “Break My Heart” and “Physical” also have over 1 billion total streams.

Certifications include 2x Diamond in Brazil, Diamond in France and Mexico, 6x Platinum in New Zealand and Canada, 4x Platinum in Poland, 3x Platinum in the United Kingdom, Norway, and Italy, 2x Platinum in Australia, the Netherlands, and Spain, and Platinum in Belgium, Portugal, and the United States.

“Future Nostalgia” received global critical acclaim upon release. The album maintains an average score of 88 out of 100 on Metacritic, which ranks “Future Nostalgia” as the 15th most acclaimed album released in 2020. It finished inside the Year-End Lists of nine different publications, topping GQ and People’s respective lists.

In 2025, Dua released the 5th Year Anniversary Edition of “Future Nostalgia”, a triple vinyl collection of the standard edition, The Moonlight Edition, and Club Future Nostalgia. In addition, to celebrate the anniversary, a special remix featuring Troye Sivan on “Physical” was released prior to the vinyl announcement.
